1) Which term of AP: 3, 8, 13, 18is 78?
2) Find the values of y for which the distance between the points P (2, 3) and Q (10, y) is 10 units.
3) Check whether the following are Quadratic Equations or not.
i) (x - 2)² + 1 = 2x - 3
ii) x(x+1) + 8 = (x+2) (x+2)
4) Determine the AP whose 3d term is 5 and the 7th term is 9.
5) Find the coordinates of a point A, where AB is a diameter of the circle whose centre is (2, -3) and B is (1, 4)
6) Find the value of 'K' if 2x² + kx + 3=0 has two equal roots
7) Find a relation between x and y such that the point (x,y) is equidistant from the points (7, 1) and (3,5).
8) Represent the following situation in the form of quadratic equation.
The product of two consecutive positive integers is 306. We need to find the integers.

2) Rohan's mother is 26 years older than him. The product of their ages (in years) 3 years from now will be 360. We would like to find Rohan's Present age.

4) Find two numbers who sum is 27 and product is 72.

1) If (1, 2), (4, y), (x, 6) and (3, 5) are the vertices of a parallelogram taken in order, then find x and y.
2) If the sum off the first n terms of an AP is 4n-n², then what is the first term (i.e. s₁)? What is the sum of first two terms? What is the second term? Similarly, find the 3rd, the 10th and the nth terms.
3) Find the area of a rhombus if its vertices are (-4, -7), (-1, 2), (8, 5) and (5, -4) taken in order.
4) A horse is tied to a peg at one corner of a square shaped grass field of side 15 m by means of a 5 m long rope. Find
i) The area of that part of the field in which the horse can graze.
ii) The increase in the gazing area if the rope was 10 m log instead of 5 m.
5) If the 3rd and 9th terms of an AP are 4 and -8 respectively, then which term of this AP is Zero?
6) Find the trisectional points of the line segment joining the points (-3, -5) and (-6, -8)
7) Find the coordinates of the points of trisection of the line segment joining the points (4,-1) and (-2, -3).
